Administrator Roles and Management
Overview
Share the workload by creating additional administrators to help score games, manage the store, oversee memberships, communicate with members, post news, and run the league. Administrators are assigned roles with specific capabilities, ensuring each person has access only to the features they need.
Administrator Roles
There are pre-defined roles available, and you can also create custom roles as needed.
Full Administrator

Access: Full access to all areas and capabilities, including the ability to add new administrators.

Score a Game

Create and Edit Players, Teams, Seasons, Divisions, and Division Groups

Create and Edit People Accounts

Edit Completed Games
-
Create and Edit Awards

Post News and Manage Pages

Send Emails and Manage Facebook Account

Post to Facebook
-
Store Clerk and Store Manager capabilities

Customise Website
-
Manage Officials, Admins, and Billing

Manager
-
Access: All capabilities except creating new administrators.

Same as Full Administrator, excluding "Manage Admins"

-
Access: Focused on game scoring and related tasks.

Use the "Manage Roles" button to create or edit roles.

Provide a Role Name and Description.

Select desired capabilities for the role.

Adding an Administrator
Prerequisite: The person must have a registered login.

If the person already has an Xsyte account and can log in to other Xsyte sites, they simply need to log in to your Xsyte to be registered - then they will be available to assign as an administrator.

If they are new, they can register as a new user:

Direct them to your site’s registration page:
YOUR SYTE DOMAIN/xsyte/register(e.g.,https://tasmaniacup.hockeysyte.com/account/register). Once registered, they can be assigned a role.

Procedure

Log in to the website and navigate to the admin area.

Go to
People > Admins. -
In the Assign Admin Access Section
From the dropdown list, select the registered user.-
If the user is not listed, ensure they have completed registration (see the Prerequisite step).

Assign a role and set notification preferences.

Ensure the status is set to On.

Save the changes - The admin will receive an email informing them of their new priveleges.
Removing Administrator Access

Go to
People > Admins. -
Find the administrator and click their name to edit.

Change their admin access to No Admin Access.

Save the changes. The user will no longer have administrative privileges.
Disabling Notifications for an Administrator

Go to
People > Admins. -
Find the administrator and click their name to edit.

Change their Notifications setting to Off.
-
Save the changes. The user will no longer receive admin notifications.
