Membership entitlements let your members book sessions as part of their membership package instead of paying per session.

What Are Entitlements?

Entitlements are booking credits included in a membership. Instead of paying for each session individually, members use their entitlement to book at no extra charge.

How Entitlements Work

1. A member purchases a membership that includes entitlements
2. They receive a set number of uses they can spend on bookings
3. When booking, they choose to use an entitlement instead of paying
4. One entitlement use = one session booking
5. The use is consumed when the booking is confirmed

Entitlement Scope Levels

• All Sessions: Can book any Session Product. Most flexible option.
• Specific Products: Can only book selected Session Products. Useful for restricting to certain facilities or instructors.
• Season-Based: Limited to a specific season or time period.

Usage Caps

Weekly Caps: Maximum uses per week (e.g. 2 sessions per week). Unused weekly allocations reset each week.

Monthly Caps: Maximum uses per month (e.g. 6 sessions per month). Resets on the 1st of each month.

Unlimited: No time-based restrictions on usage.

Fast Entitlement Purchase Flow

XSYTE streamlines booking with entitlements:

1. Member selects a time slot
2. System detects active membership with available entitlements
3. Member chooses to use an entitlement
4. A $0-value order is created instantly (no checkout needed)
5. Session is immediately confirmed
6. One entitlement use is deducted

This removes friction: members skip the checkout process entirely for entitlement bookings.

Setting Up Entitlements

1. Navigate to Admin > Shop
2. Find or create a Membership product
3. Locate the Entitlements section
4. Click Add Entitlement
5. Configure: Scope (All/Specific/Season), Number of Uses, Usage Period (Weekly/Monthly/Unlimited), and if applicable the max uses per period
6. Click Save Entitlement

Example: Gold Membership includes 8 monthly bookings (max 2 per week) for any Session Product.

Cancellation

When members cancel future bookings made with entitlements, the entitlement use is immediately restored to their available pool. Past sessions cannot be cancelled.

Tiered Memberships

Each membership product can have different entitlement configurations. For example: Bronze = 4 monthly bookings, Silver = 8, Gold = 12.

Troubleshooting

Members see no entitlements available: Verify the membership is purchased (not just in cart), entitlements have not expired, and usage caps for the current period are not maxed out.

Fast purchase flow not appearing: Check the member has an active membership with remaining uses, and the Session Product is within the entitlement scope.
