Live Streaming with YouTube

You can easily integrate your YouTube Channel within your XSYTE.  By connecting your YouTube Channel ID, XSYTE will promote your Latest Videos on your homepage and also a dedicated Live Streaming Page accessible from your navigation bar.   It's also very easy to add your individual game livestreams to the game page itself to maximise views.

You just need to add your YouTube Channel ID to the YouTube Channel ID setting in Admin > Settings > General Settings.

How to Find Your YouTube Channel ID

To find the Channel ID follow the steps below –

• Open the browser and go to www.youtube.com
• Click on the Sign In button on the upper right corner and fill the details asked (username and password).
• Once you have signed in with your account, visit this link: https://www.youtube.com/account_advanced
• You will see Channel ID. Refer to the following screenshot.

Adding Individual Steams to Game Pages

It's great to add the individual streams to the games, that way it's so easy for people to find the game they want to watch and you can maximise your game views.

To add the live stream for your game, all you need to do is add the YouTube Video ID in the Log Game page.

To get the YouTube Video ID

Find your video on youTube.  The link will be something like:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=JjsJ9YzLUcA
Or https://www.youtube.com/live/JjsJ9YzLUcA?si=MsH8S8DbeWKNcY6O

In this case you can see the bold JjsJ9YzLUcA is the youtube video id.

Add your YouTube Video ID to the Game

Take the YouTube Video ID and go to the Log Game page in Admin.
On the Scoreboard and Notes Tab, enter the id in the YouTube Video ID field and click the Update Video ID Button.

Your video or live stream will now be embedded in your game pages for all site visitors to enjoy!
