Understanding Conferences
Admin > League > Divisions — Shows Division Groups (like Oceania Championships) with their divisions
Conferences let you group teams within a season into sub-divisions for standings purposes. They are commonly used to split large leagues into regional or skill-based groups.
What Are Conferences?
A conference is a grouping of teams within a single season. Teams in different conferences can still play each other, but standings are tracked and displayed separately by conference.
Common examples: East vs West, North vs South, Competitive vs Recreational
Creating a Conference
- Navigate to Admin > Seasons and select your season
- Find the Conferences section
- Click Add Conference
- Enter the Conference Name (e.g. Eastern Conference)
- Optionally upload a Conference Logo
- Set the Display Order
- Click Save
Assigning Teams to Conferences
After creating conferences, assign each team to one:
- Edit a team within the season
- Select the appropriate conference from the dropdown
- Save the team
How Standings Work with Conferences
When standings are calculated, XSYTE automatically groups teams by their conference. On the public standings page, you will see teams organized under their conference headings with separate rankings within each group.
Multiple Conferences
You can create as many conferences as needed. A typical setup might be 2 conferences (East/West) with 6-8 teams each, but the system is flexible for any number.
