Adding a Game

Make sure you have the following set up before you try to create your game.

1. You have your Division set up and you have a Season created for that Division.
2. You have set up your Teams for the season.
3. You have set up your Locations. 

When you are ready it's super easy to create a game:

Select your Season - Your Division Name and Season will be available to be selected from the drop down list.

Select the Home Team - This is a required field.  Select the team that will be playing as the Home team. If you do not know the team at the time you are creating the game, select TBD (To be Decided).  

Select the Away Team - Select the team that will be playing as the Away team. If you do not know the team at the time you are creating the game, select TBD (To be Decided).  Some game types do not have an opponent, such as trainings and tryouts, if you do not require an opponent it is OK to leave this field unselected. 

Select the Game Type - Select an appropriate Game Type for your game. 
A description of some special game types:

Game Type	Description
Shinny / Pickup	A special type of game.  A pickup game allows players from a player pool to claim spots in the game from an invitation sent via email or SMS.  Perfect for a game that doesn't have set teams.
Pre-Season	A preseason game whose stats will not be counted for the regular season.
Exhibition	An exhibition game whose stats will not be counted for the regular season.
Regular Season	A normal regular season game whose stats count for the regular season
Round Robin	A round robin game whose stats count for the regular season.  Mostly used with tournaments.
Pool Play	Pool play games. Stats count for the regular season.  Mostly used with tournaments.
Playoff	A Playoff game. Stats count as part of the playoffs.
Consolation	A Playoff game. Stats count as part of the playoffs.
Bronze Medal Game	A Playoff game. Stats count as part of the playoffs.
Quarter-Final	A Playoff game. Stats count as part of the playoffs.
Semi-Final	A Playoff game. Stats count as part of the playoffs.
Grand Final	A Playoff game. Stats count as part of the playoffs.
Bye	1 team will not play a game. This is not a game.
Practice	1 team has a training or practice session. This is not a game.
Try-Outs	1 team has a try-out session. This is not a game.

 

Select the Location - When you set up a Venue and Game Locations for the venue, those locations are listed here.  Choose where your game will be played.

Select the Date and Time - Using the date selector choose the date your game will be held on.  Use the time slider to select the time.

Click the Submit Game button and you are done!
